Here comes
the last movie of Shankranthi “Soggade
Chinninayana” of Nagarjuna. In this he played duel role of Father and son.
He was supported by two heroines Ramya Krishna and Lavanya Tripati.
Story:
This is a
simple family drama which starts with entry of Nagarjuna as son of Bangar Raju
(Nagarjuna). He played the double role of father and son. Son Nagarjuna comes
to his mother Sata (Ramya krishna) with his wife Lavanya Tripati. They were
going get divorce and solve the problem they comes to his mother.
Satya then
pleaded her problem in front of her husband bangaraj’s portrait (Nagarjuna).
Then suddenly Bangaraju appears before her as spirit, who is only visible to
only to Satya.
Then how
bangaraju solved his family problems is rest of the story.
Positive Points:
The whole
movie is Nagarjuna’s one man show. He alone carried the whole movie on his
shoulders. His acting variations in two different roles is one to watch. He
showed a romantic and witty angle in one role and a very innocent role in
other.
Heroine
Ramya Krishna also performed equally to Nagarjuna. It is quite an eye feast for
audience to see this evergreen couple on screen. Lavanya Tripati also did a
nice job and looks very beautiful in the movie. Other stars also did their
best. Anchor Anasuya make her first silver screen presence and proved that she
is worthy for gaining more important roles.
First half
of the movie is very good and hold the strength of the flick.
Negative Points:
Second half
of the movie is the main drawback of the movie. While the first half is
entertaining second half is bit dragged and slow in pace. There are many scenes
in the movie which needed to be trimmed.
In second
half there is also lack of entertainment, which will test audience patience.
Technical Department:
In this
department composer Anup Rubens did a nice job. He composed tunes apt for
village and family backdrop. His background score also helped to elevate the
scenes. Editing is below average as there were many scenes to be trimmed.
Cinematography
is good and cameraman captured every frame beautifully. Coming to the director
Kalyan Krishna, he did a nice job. His screenplay holds the key for the movie
as it is a predictable script and it is only the screenplay which made it
interesting. Dialogs were good.
Verdict :
Over all a
complete family entertainer and a perfect family gift. Nagarjuna is at his best
and showed some convincing acting. He will be the sole reason for the movies
run. First half of the movie is good but second half is bit dull.
However it
is a onetime watch movie in this festive season.
