Killing Veerappan Movie Review

Since Ram Gopal.  Verma announced his next movie on Veerappan. The project turned many towards itself. The concept itself gave it a free publicity and that to the great Ram Gopal Verma is directing the movie. Finally after many hurdles the movie released in Telugu Today. Lets see how is the flick.

Story:

The story is quite simple as we all know that summery of Smuggler Veerappan’s life and how he was executed. The story was being narrated by a Police officer . Veerpappan (Played by Sandeep Bharadwaj) is a most wanted Smuggler who smuggles sandal wood from forest. Police of three states tried their best to catch him but he always managed to escape from them unharmed.

But his legacy came to end when the case was handed over to strict police officer Shivraj Kumar. He also tried many times but failed, however his one last master plan ended the most wanted person’s life.

Plus Points:

Here in this movie the main hero is off the screen and he is the maker Ram Gopal verma. With this movie he proved that his talent is still working and he came wonderful movies. You will got to see the old RGV ‘s direction in the movie. He showcased everyone in the movie in such a manner that you will believe that they are real.

Sanddep Bharadwaj who played the title role is just awesome in the flick. He will convince you not only by looks but also by his acting. Shivraj Kumar is also equally brilliant and he also showcased some brilliant acting.

Supporting characters like Yagna Shetty and others did their job well and supported the main roles in the flick.

Minus Points:

Main minus is the script itself. We are not saying that the script is bad, but it misses something & that thing is the Veerappan’s raise as a strong and invincible smuggler. RGV left those issues and only concentrated on killing Veerappan, of course the title itself is suggesting that, But due to this people feels the gap and doesn’t satisfies audience who come to the theater to know more about  Verappan’s.
The first half of the movie is quite simple and little boring but the second half is racy and thrilling.

Technical Dept:

The movie is a technical depended one. The whole technical department came together for the movie and made it a prefect visual treat.

The forest location and the top angle camera visual in the pre climax are very nice. Action sequences were very well shot in the movie. It gave a natural feel to the audience.

Music is just a bit average as the background failed to elevate some scenes.

Coming to the direction department RGV did a splendid job in this movie. His ideas and screenplay will make feel that old RGV is back. If he would have added Veerappn’s some personal life , the movie would have some interesting.

Verdict:

After many movies we got a real RGV movie to see. He just put everything right and made a perfect movie. He also showcased Veerpappan in a nice way and made everyone in the theater believe that he was the real one.  A must watch movie.
