Hoping for a
hat trick Lavanya tripati of Andala Rakshashi fame, came up with “LOL” (LachimDeviki O Lekkundi). She also paired up with her debut hero Naveen. It is
a crime comedy movie directed by Jagadesh Talashila.
Story:
Navin
(Naveen Chandra) is a bank employee, who loves to earn money somehow. He always
fights with his collogue Devi (Lavanya Tripati). In that same bank there are
two unclaimed accounts and antagonist Mahesh (Ajay) plans to rob a huge amount
of cash through the account.
For that he
plans to hire Naveen for this job, he asks Naveen to bring the details of those
two unclaimed accounts, and in return Mahesh promise him a share. For this he
moves close to Devi and succeed to get those details.
Now the rest
of the story is whose those unclaimed accounts holders are. Can Mahesh gang
manage to get those amounts in the account? What does Naveen and Devi do in
this whole plot is to seen in the theater.
Positive Points:
Run time of
the movie and the concept of unclaimed accounts robbery are main plus for the
movie. Especially the concept is new to everyone and this helped audience to
connect with the movie.
Also the
lead pair Naveen & Lavanya shares a good chemistry in the flick. Their
combination scenes came out well. Ajay did a decent job as antagonist . Pre
interval and interval block are very nice. 110mins runtime also helped a lot.
Negative Points:
Though the
concept is good, director failed to run the movie in a proper manner. None of
the character in the flick will connect to the audience, everything feels to be
hurried.
With such a
strong concept, everyone expects some thrill, but the movie lacks that, there
is no such scene where you would feel the thrill. Climax is very confusing and
hurried one. Songs are also wrongly place and will test your patience.
Technical
Dept:
In this
department only two persons did a good job, first is cinematographer Eswar and
music composer M M Keeravani. Keravani’s background score provided the required
tempo and Cinematography of eswar showed the movie in a rich manner.
Coming to
the director Jagadesh, he started off well in the movie later failed in every
department. Being a debut director he clearly showed his lack of knowledge in
every department. The failed to built up a tempo and suspense in the movie. He
also failed to use the lead pairs to their potential.
He also
concluded the movie in a unsatisfactory way.
Verdict:
This movie
doesn’t contain anything new for audience. Expect the lead pair and the new
concept of unclaimed bank accounts there is nothing to be watched. It is a onetime
watch movie.
