“Shankar” is a brand in Indian film industry. His movies are
different from others, rich in visuals and thought provoking concept. Because
of these features, his movies are released with high expectations . ‘I’ is another most awaited movie to be
released from Shankar’s pocket has hit the screen today .
Story:
An body builder Lingesh (Vikram)
aim for Mr.India . He is madly love with a upcoming model Diya (Amy Jackson).
To his luck, he got an offer from Diya, who ask him to act with him in a small
add. That add clicked and they got a big offer to shoot in china. In this
process they fall in love. Just then twist reveals and Lingam was attacked by
Diya’s professional enemies. They inject a kind of virus which brings drastic
changes in his life. Then Lingam starts taking revenge on them.
Positive Points:
‘Vikram ‘this name & his hard work
is the main plus point of this movie. With his hard work and exceptional acting
skills he made this movie an example for perfection, mainly his acting in weird
look is master piece acting. Shankar’s name is associated with this movie which
creates a huge hike on this movie. Make up
of this movie creates a feel of Hollywood
movies. Graphics of this movie is gives
us a whole new experience, and that credit goes to Shankar for his conceptual different
thinking. A.R.Rehman’s music and P.C.Sriram ‘s
camera work are backbone of the movie.
Negative Points:
Major minus point of this movie is
lack of Shankar’s magical taking and suspense as we experience in his earlier
movies. Also there is lack of chemistry between lead characters Amy &
Vikram. The movie is excessive in length that creates a drag and bore feel to
audience. The placement of songs are
also not right, Screenplay of the movie
is below par, and editor should have done some more work to make the movie interesting as there are
many dragging scenes in the film.
Verdict
Ultimately this is a onetime watch
movie for Vikram’s acting skills and visual wonder. But it was surely not one
of Shankar’s best. Hopefully this holiday season may help to recover the budget
as this not up to the expectations of movie lovers and Shankar fans.
