Premam Telugu Movie Review

Premam movie is a huge blockbuster in Malayalam. Naga Chaitanya  was very much impressed with the movie and choose to remake it. CHandoo Mondeti has directed the movie. “Premam” released today worldwide, lets see how the movie is.

Story:

For youth it is a well known story as many have watched the original. Vikram (Naga Chaitanya) is a happy going boy, who fell in love with his classmate Suma (Anupama Parameswaram), but that love story didn’t last long. After that he fell for Sithara (Sruthi Haasan) who is his teacher in college.

Later he loves and marries Sindhu (Mandona). The main crux of the movie is how Vikram, faced failures in love during his childhood to youth and his emotional journey is the main storyline.

Positive Points:

Naga Chaitanya has surprised all with his upgraded acting. He stole the show with his acting and showed huge improvement in showcasing different emotions. All the three heroines are good. Especially Anupama Parameswaram, Mandona walked away with the appreciation. But Sruthi Haasan got some negative views from viewers.

Coming to the movie, director maintained the comedy throughout the movie. Thanks to the comedians Srenivas Reddy, brahmaji and Praveen, there is abundant comedy punches in the flick.  First half of the movie is very nice, with comedy and youthful atmosphere.

Negative Points:

Even though everything is ok with the movie, people are comparing this movie with the original. This comparison will surely pull the movie down, as the Malayalam version is unmatchable. Especially Sruthi Haasan’s character got negative views.

There are also many scenes where one will fell dragged. Also the movie is very predictable.

Technical Dept:

Production values of the movie is totally great. The movie looks very lavish and the credit goes to producer S Naga Vamsi, who spend a lot and also to the cinematographer Karthik, who captured everything nicely with his eyes. Other things like Music, dialogs and screenplay are good and is a perfect match to the movie.

Director Chandoo Mondeti has successfully handled the movie. He do have a huge pressure to match the original movie standard and he did it with ease. He made some changes and also added ample amount of comedy to the viewers.

Verdict:

With Premem Naga Chaitanya has improved a lot. This movie has a huge scope for acting and he proved that he can handle these kind of emotional movies. It is a treat to watch him. First half of the movie is very nice, with comedy and sweet love scenes. Second half is also good, but feels dragged.

Sruthi Haasan is bad choice for the movie. A better selection of Sruthi’s character would have made the movie a more better one.

It is a must watch movie.
