Kalyan Ram's ISM Movie Review

Kalyan Ram has worked really hard for Puri Jaganadh’s “ISM”. ISM released today amidst huge expectations. Let’s see how the movie is.

Story:

 Satya Marthanda (Kalyan Ram) is a happy man who resides in London. The he fell in love with Alia (Aditi Arya) and started following her. After many trails he succeed in getting her love. Alia is daughter of dreaded don Javed Bahi (Jagapathi Babu).

When Javed Bahi approved their love, Satya cheated them and flew to India. His real motive is to get the corrupted money back to India and distribute to poor people. Why is Satya doing this? What influenced him to do all these? What is the link between Jved Bhai and Satya is to be seen in the theater.

Positive Points:

Kalyan Ram’s characterization in the movie is a huge plus and also his makeover for the character is appreciable. These a huge improvement in his acting skills, which can be seen in pre climax. First half is good but second half takes all the credit, with the pre climax and climax scenes.

Jagapathi Babu also did a wonderful job and played his don character perfectly. The court scene which comes during the pre-climax is time is the best part of the film and full marks should go to Puri for writing some taut dialogues about corruption in the country.

Negative Points:

The movie goes over the line in some areas. The movie became predictable in second half and that will not impress audience. Except the pre climax there is nothing more interesting to offer in the movie once the twist is revealed.

Aditi Arya is also a drawback for the movie as her immaturity is clearly seen on the screen and she greatly failed to impress all.

Technical Dept:

Music by Anup Rubens is just ok but his background score works perfectly for the movie. It was his background score which elevated key scenes in the flick. Production values is awesome  and so as the camera work. Both the department made the movie look very rich.

Coming to the director Puri Jagan, he has done a good job with the film. His way of narration is appreciable and will get nice marks. This also proved that why he was one of the best director in south. Credit must go to him for showing Kalyan Ram in a complete different manner.

Verdict:

At last Kalyan Ram tried something useful in his film career. This movie has some plus and some minus, but overall it is a good movie. First half is nice and also the pre climax.  A better second  half and a gripping climax would have done wonders for the movie.
