Since some
days Vijay’s “Theri” is creating
sensation in south Film Industry. The trailer of the movie became the most
liked trailer in India and fans are in going crazy to see the movie. So here the
movie released in Telugu as “Police”
& let’s see how is the movie.
Story:
The story is
an age old one. Story opens up with Vijay living in kerala as Joseph Korevela
with his litte 6 years daughter. He feel in love with her daughter’s school
teacher Annie (Ami jackson). When their love started to blossom, then came the
twist in the tale, suddenly simple looking guy Joseph became violent and fights
local goons to the death.
This made
Annie to search about his past and found out that he is a Police officer named
“Vijay Kumar”. Now why did Vijay Kumar became Joseph and where does Samantha
fits in the script is to be seen in the theater.
Positive
Points:
As usual
Vijay became big asset of the movie. His power pack performance as police and
matured father character as Joseph is appreciable. His shifting of characters
in the movie is good and convincing. Heroine Samantha is another asset of the
movie, she showcased some natural acting and looked beautiful in the whole
story.
Amu Jackson
on other hand is ok and she would have done better. Interval twist is good and
so as the climax. Villain role played by
Mahendran is good.
Negative Points:
As we told
that the script is age old, so it became the biggest minus. Whole screenplay is
predictable and this made the movie a pace less and ordinary. Except interval
bang, there are no major twists in the Movie.
Technical Department:
Music by G V
Prakash is below par none of the six songs impressed. But the background score
is good and elevates the movie to next level. Camera work is good so as the
production values. But screenplay is average as many scenes looked dreggy and
without interest.
Director
Atlee delt with the emotions well but failed to make the move interesting. A
few more thrills and twists would have made the movie a better one.
Verdict:
This is a
onetime watch movie and Vijay fans will enjoy to the most. A crisp screenplay
and more twists would have made the movie even better.
