Suriya's 24 Telugu Movie Review

Hero Surya is known for his experiments in movies. He never does similar kind of movies and always look for different movies. This enthusiasm made him to do “24”. Vikram Kumar of “Manam” fame directed this movie.

Story:

Shiva Kumar (Surya) is a scientist who invents a strange watch with which one can travel back and forth in time. This invention bought him troubles. His peaceful  life with wife (Nitya Menon)  and a infant son comes to an end as his twin brother Athreya (Surya) comes for the watch.

In the end Shiva Kumar manages to save the watch and his son but he & his wife died in the process.

After 25 years Athreya came to know about the watch as it was now with Mani (Surya) son of Shiva Kumar. So Atherya again tries to get the watch, but was has to face Mani who came to know all about his evil plans.

Positive Points:

This is a unique movie as these kind of concept doesn’t goes well in India. We often sees this in Hollywood movies. But Vikram Kumar wrote a tight script with gripping screenplay which made the movie a memorable one.

The major asset of the movie is undoubtedly Hero surya. He played in three shaded character and among then his negative role of Athreya was just out of the world. It was award winning worthy acting. He was at his best in the movie. His variations in characters will make you fully convince that they are different persons.

First half of the movie is really nice and the interval bang is one of the best. Climax was one to be talk about as it was just too good. Female leads Samantha and Nitya Menon are at their best. They did a nice job. Twists and VFX are the major plus points in the movie.

Negative Points:

There are no much minus points in the movie. It is a perfect movie but one thing is to be noted that A R rehman was bad choice for the flick. His music was very poor and none of the song got clicked. However he has given a thumping background score. Love track between lead character will take off the pace from the proceedings, but that can be ignored.

Technical Aspects:

This movie is a technical wonder. All the members of tech dept are just brilliant. First thing the VFX, in just 70crs of budget, it is highly appreciable to give such a quality VFX. Art dept is also good as they have given apt screen for time travel theme. Production values are at top notch, camera work is also good.

Coming to the director, Vikram Kumar, he is just brilliant with the movie. Especially his screenplay is just awesome. Looking at his past movies he is becoming the best director in south India.

Verdict:

This is one of the best movie in recent times. Those who want a change from regular masala movies can opt for this movie. This is many time watch movie. Every frame of this movie is too good.
