Sardar Gabbar Singh Movie Review

Well the wait is over as the Power Star’s movie “Sardar gabbar Singh” hit theaters today. Fans were eagerly waiting for the movie and they are waiting at the theater before sunrise to see their demigod on screen.

Story:

The story is quite simple and a well known to everyone. Gabbar Singh (pawan Kalyan) is a typical police officer, who does everything on his own written rules. One fine day he was transferred to a village named Ratanpur. Here a ruthless goon named Bhairav Singh kept everyone in fear and made them his slave.

In the same village there is a royal palace where princess Arshi (Kajal) resides and she poses a threat from Bhairav singh, who wants to marry her.

Now how does Gabbar Singh saves the Ratanpur people and Princess Arshi is to be seen in the theater.

Positive Points:

As usual the main plus point is Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s charisma and his screen presence. His mere screen presence is enough to make his fans crazy. In this movie he did a more than satisfactory job. He was shown in all possible ways, in which his fans wish to see. Right from the first frame pawan maintained the energy till end. His acting, his dialog delivery, and comedy timings are better than the first part Gabbar singh.

Heroine Kajal Agarwal looked very beautiful, she shredded some weight and looked very young then her age. After Pawan she was the major attraction of the movie. Her acting and beauty will make you fell in love with her. Her get up in princess role will make you remember her Magadheera days.

Comedians party headed with Ali and Brahmanandam did their part well but most of the comedy was done by Power star himself.  Sharad Khelkar made a very promising entry in to Tollywood. His screen presence is good as well as his acting.

Negative Points:

Since the release of the trailer everyone got a idea of the story and also came to a conclusion that , there is nothing in the script & it is only the entertainment part which will be new. Story is age old and offers nothing new.

No major twists are there in the movie. As the whole flick was running on a single line, it seems dragged. Especially in the second half it looked very much dragged and with two songs in quick session make you feel uncomfortable.

Screenplay is very bad & lacks the tempo. After a powerful entry of Villain, he was not given a proper scene in the second half.

Technical Department:

Music By Devi Sri Prasad is good, Songs were average but they were composed in the terms of scenes & they look perfect with the videos. Back ground score is nice, but we already experienced it in the earlier part.

Art department is to be appreciated as they just made a set of whole village and made it look very realistic. Production values are good. Editing is very bad as the length is very long and there are many unnecessary scenes.

Direction by Bobby is just average, he didn’t tried anything new in the script. He just stick to the age old script and made everything look simple. However he made sure that Pawan Kalyan is shown in the way in which his fans love to see.

Verdict:

It is very sad to say that the movie is not as good as the prequel. A it lost the x factor and the spirit. Fans may get disappoint in terms of story but they will not disappoint in Pawan’s Characterization. Overall it is a just one time watch movie that to only for pawna and heroine Kajal agarwal.
