Shourya Telugu Movie Review

Manchu Manoj is one of the talented actor in Tollywood. His selection of movies is nice and different from regular scripts. Post marriage his first movie is “Shourya” and it has released today. He had lots of hopes on this movie. Let’s see how the movie is.

Story:

Shourya (Manchu Manoj)  is simple boy who is well educated and does s nice job. He is in deep love with Netra (regina Cassandra). Everything is going fine, when suddenly they decide to elope. While their run. Netra will be murdered and Shourya gets the blame.

From then it was the chase of cops and Shourya which holds the movies core. Now why did the couple eloped & how does Netra got killed, How does he solved the case is rest of the movie.

Positive Points :

Manoj is good as always in his character. For the first time in his career played a calm and reserved role. It may not be his best but a good one. Heroine Regina did a impressive job, though she doesn’t have much to do.

Prakash Raj is also very good in his police role. Other characters in the movie did according to the requirement. Coming to the movie, It is good in pieces, twists are good and their execution is ok.

Interval bang and climax has been well executed. Production values are decent. A crisp run-time is another asset for this thriller.

Negative Points:

This movie have more minus than positives, first thing is the boring screenplay. These kind of movies need racy screenplay, which the director failed to provide. First half is another minus for the movie, as it is filled with many boring scenes. Twists are nice, but the scenes between the twists are very boring.

Sub plots in the movie are not well explained. Songs are very bad and they acts are major hurdles for the proceedings.

Technical Department:

In this department Music is the major drawback. Background music also just average. Dialogs were just ok so as the cinematography. Editing is below par and also the screenplay.

Coming to the director Dasaradh, he just totally spoiled a nice script. Leaving the twists, remaining movie is very boring and bit unexplained. Second half is just ok where as the first half is unbearable.

A nice racy screenplay and a good first half would have done good for the movie.

Verdict:

This is not the expected one from Manchu Manoj as he had given many good movies before.first half of the movie is very upsetting and second half is just ok. Climax and interval twists are good. Screenplay is bad and out of pace. It is just a onetime watch movie.
