Majnu Telugu Movie Review

Hero Nani is now the most consistent hero in Tollywood. His past four movies are hit at box office and he is now ready to improve his record by bagging another hit with “Majnu”. Majnu was released today worldwide with huge expectations. Lets see how the movie is.

Story:

This is a triangular love story in which Aditya (Nani) works as an assistant Director under S S Rajamouli for the movie Bahubali. During this he fell in love with Kiran (Anu Emmanuel). After several trails he managed to win her love. When everything is going fine, due to some reasons they got separated. Failed in love Nani gone to Hyderabad. Here he came across another beauty  named Suma (Priya Sri).

To impress her he started telling his old love story, listing to his failed love story Suma (priya) fall for him. Now the real situation arises when Aditya came to know that both the ladies were cousins. 

Now how Nani will manage the two girls is the crux of the story.

Positive Points:

As usual hero Nani is the major plus point of the movie. His acting is the only big asset of the movie. The story is weak and an old story, however it was the directors treatment to the story and hero’s acting that made the movie watchable. Nani has shown a great talent in comic scenes and also in emotional scenes.

Debutant Anu emmnuel also has a great role to play, she also impressed in her part. Comedians Vennela Kishore also got a good role to play and impressed all with his comic timing.

Coming to the movie, First half of the flick is very nice, with lots of comic scenes and fun elements. Interval twits is good and also the climax.

Negative Points:

The only minus point of the movie is lack of suspense element. The movie is too predictable and after a point it will be boring to watch. Being a love story it should have a novelty flavor, but that too is missing in the movie. The second heroine Priya Sri should have done more homework on her role.

There are also few scenes where clarity is missed.

Technical Dept:

Production value of the movie is very nice and so as the camera work by Gyanasekhar.  The set work and visual works are good. Music by Gopi Sunder is good as it suits the mood of the movie. Dialogs were on top notch, it was the dialogs which helped the movie in certain places to keep up. Coming to the director Virinchi Varma, he has done a decent job with the film. Even though he chooses a routine story, he manages to narrate it an entertaining way. Had he dealt with the triangular love story well, it was his treatment to the movie to keep up.

Verdict:

This is a nice commercial love story. Nani’s acting and entertainment in the movie clicked well and will be liked by everyone. First half is good, second half would have been better if some more fun elements have added to it. Climax is good and different.

 This is a must watch movie especially for the youth.
