Oka Manasu Telugu Movie Review

Mega Family is eagerly waiting for “Oka Manasu” because its heroine is Mega Families first female actor Niharika Konidela making her debut in to Tollywood. This movie released today worldwide with lots of expectations, let’s see does it stand on the expectations or not.

Story:

The story is quite simple and will remind you of true love stories in late 90’s. Sandhya (Niharika) is a doctor and fell deeply in to love with upcoming politician Surya (Naga Shourya). They became so close that they cannot leave apart, but Sandhya always complains of Surya’s political career.

Twist in the movie arises, when Surya got involved in a scam and was sent to jail for three years. What happens next? How does Surya got out? what happen to their love is to be seen in the theater.

Positive Points:

Everyone is eyeing on debutant Mega lady Niharika konidela, and she lived up to the expectations. Her acting looks much matured and her chemistry with Naga Shourya connected very well. It was their fresh pair that created the magic. Individual performances are good in the movie. Both the lead pair carried different emotions in the movie. Especially Naga Shourya did a fantastic job.

Dialogs are written well in the flick. Rao Ramhesh is another asset for the movie. Songs are well composed and well shot also, every song is visualized.

Negative Points:

The first and basic minus point is slow narration. The way story goes will remind you, the movies of late 90’s. Screenplay is bad and so as the editing. The length of the movie is also very long and will test your patience.

Through the movie has a good story line, but director failed to write good scene and situations for the flick. Climax being so strong failed due to lack of proper emotions.

Technical Department:

In this department camera work is to give full credit, the visual’s are stunning in the movie, this is the one thing that will connect with the audience. Especially in songs the camera work is exceptional. Songs are second good thing in the flick. Music by Sunil Kshayap is good and so as the background score. Dialogs are good and thought provoking. Editing is below par and so as the screenplay.

Director Rama Raju written the script well but failed to execute it to the expected level. His direction will remind you 90’s type movie. His narrating of the movie is also very slow.

Verdict:

Released amidst many expectations, this movie “Oka Manasu” failed to reach the expectations. Its slow narration, drama less scenes, lack of comedy, long runtime killed the essence of the flick. If those flaws would have been delt with, then it would have been as classic love story.

However it is worth one time watch movie that to for the lead pair.
