Deepika padukone had done in a lead role with Rajinikanth in Kochadaiyan. The film does not reached any expections and collections. Deepika padukone gets an offer to act with Vijay in the direction of Chimbudevan , but Deepika is not interested to do a film in tamil she simply rejects the offer.
Now Shruthi Hassan was signed for the female lead role and Hansika will be acting in a second herione role. This is the first time Shruthi playing with Vijay. Other big stars like Kannada actor Sudeep and Vetaran actress Sri Devi are also acting in important roles in the movie.
